About Us

We are a small machine shop that specializes in short-run parts and proto-type work for industry. We also have a small selection of products for the High Power Rifle community, including “The Rightsight”, and we are the exclusive USA dealer for Silver Mountain Targets electronic target systems for fullbore shooting.

My wife, Cindy, and I started shooting competitive Highpower Rifle in 1983. My first year competing at Camp Perry was 1985, and I have returned to Camp Perry every year consecutively since then.

Cindy and I moved to Georgia from upstate New York in 1998. We decided to open a machine shop and Stallings Machine was born. Mostly we were a vendor for a large corporation. I developed The Rightsight out a need to see the target better and a lack of good options for a front sight. I contacted Gehmann and they joined me in the development by making an iris to fit the larger sight. The Rightsight is now one of the most popular front sights in the world.

Being a member of the National Team I had a chance to go to the DCRA matches in Canada. On one of those trips I met the owner of Silver Mountain Targets. I bought one of their first generation electronic targets for practicing on my range. Through further discussions with Silver Mountain Targets owner Dan Chisholm, Stallings Machine became the rep for SMT in the US.
